Actually, it was the Celts who celebrated it. It was their New Year and day of the dead. Not a witch thing, they weren't witches. Witches came much later.

No way I had no idea. Come on man every Junior and High school kid knows this stuff. To counter the obvious statement no witches do not worship the Christian Satan we do not even believe that being exists.

Peace Out and Blessed Be (This is the same as the Christian phrase 'God Bless')

virtually all Christian vacation journeys were initially Pagan vacation journeys. They adapted them to their personal intending to facilitate Pagan conversion to their faith. It by no skill had some thing to do with the devil in Pagan conception. Pagan's do not have a devil personality. people for the era of historic previous have created their personal meaning and traditions. as we talk for most Halloween is an afternoon of dress up relaxing and trick or treating. It in hardship-free words skill devil worship if that's what you're making it propose. From what i understand of Pagan conception as we talk its a non secular vacation about honoring your deceased loved ones, banishing damaging conduct or aspects of oneself, and asking for practise in questions or for the destiny. i'm a nontheist yet I celebrate Halloween or Samhain and xmas or yuletide because the iciness solstice time. See what it skill to me will be diverse from what it skill to some different person.

Did you know that Christmas has Pagan origins? And Easter? Even the Eucharist is stolen directly from Mithras. This is the way every new religion begins. ;-)
