If your computer hangs or reboots while you are working on it , it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes. Detailed instructions at http://tinyurl.com/yk5zpr

You need to enable hibernation in BIOS. Follow the instruction when you first switch on (it's usually DEL or F1) to go to SET UP, and work through the menus.

Try this. Go to control panel and click on User accounts.
Select change the way users log on option.
Select fast user switching.
apply changes.
test this by going to start-shut down... you should get a drop down listing hibernate or standby.

You can speed up your pc and get rid of viruses, worms and trojans by cleaning up your register. A good free program is CCleaner. Link here http://j.mp/1sW26ji

Make sure power management is enabled in your BIOS setup- if it isn't, windows won't be able to suspend/resume. It may be referred to as ACPI, as well.
