The consensus seems to be that you are getting extra chemicals, and that is true. But if you're like me, you can only take so much water and some liquid is better than no liquid. Aspartame (which is NOT Splenda, but sweet n' low) is the chemical that is most controversial. Splenda is actually made from sugar and tastes a lot better than aspartame anyway.

It is the same as drinking water, but it also contains Aspertame (an artificial sweetner). Aspertame has been studied in clinics and has been proven to a point that it could possibly be a cause of cancer if the body is exposed to it for too long in larg amounts. Im not saying to stop drinking it, I love Crystal Light Raspberry Lemonade, and Raspberry Ice. And Aspertame is in nearly everything. So yeah it is like drinking water, with a little kick!

You gotta remember that if they don't use sugar and it tastes sweet, it's definitely got something artificial in it, such aspartame (Splenda) or fructose (derivative of sugar). Studies have shown that people who take artificial sweeteners as opposed to real sugar, tend to actually consume more calories (From other sources) and actually gain more weight, for different reasons. So if you want to drink some real fruit juice, lemonade with real sugar- do so in moderation, and as for the rest of your daily intake of water, try the clear, pure taste of filtered water!

It gives you the water you need but they usually (but not always) have chemicals in them that might not be very good for you. As bad as sugar is for you, I suspect that the artificial sweeteners are even worse. Like butter is not good for you, but margarine is even worse, sort of the same idea. Anyway, interesting question, I will be watching your answers.

It's the same as drinking polluted water.
Crystal light contains aspartame and acesulfame potassium to make it taste sweet, as well as artifial coloring. It's not something you should drink, or give to your kids.
