the war WAS easy, relatively so, our army made theirs run away. We occupied them. We are having a hard time cause making what was left of thier army run away was as far as the planning process went. Now we are just stuck there with a bunch of contradicting orders and goals and nothing is getting done and any goodwill we once had is fast evaporating. There are 27 million or so of them, and there is no way we can occupy them the way we are doing it, sadaam had the right idea, stomp on them when they got uppity and stomp on them hard. If we dont do that, we might as well pack up our money and guns and move on to the iranian oil fields.

I believe anytime we go to another country and tell them that the way they are governing and or running their country, something is definitely going to hit the fan. We have many cultures and traditions in this world, and some do perform some nasty atrocities. But for some reason the western world thinks it has to change and save people from them selves that simply do not want to be saved. We really do put our noses where they don't belong, and now we are paying for it big time. I believe the western world has one and only one obligation, and that's to protect it's people and our own shores. I believe it's time we leave the middle east to it's own self destruction, that way when it is all over then and only then we could go in and clean up the peaces. Unfortunately there is so much wealth accumulated from war and weaponry that greed for it gets in the way. We are coming vary close now where by the western civilizations are going to have to fight for the freedom we are enjoying today, and that war will make all of the wars we have ever had look like a five year old kindergarten scrap.

I would like for you to present some proof that someone told you the war was going to be easy and that YOU told us that the war was a mistake. If you can not do so, then I will consider your question a lie AND that you are laughing so hard that you cannot work the keyboard. At any rate, your question, at present, does not require an answer because the actual war is over. We are now trying to stabilize an ELECTED government to where we can come home.

Every time America gets involved in anything much bigger than a small team op ... it always has and probably always will go wrong, your general attitude is that of a playground bully believing "might is right" Too busy bullying the rest of the world maybe you cant seehow rotten your bit is. Poor average Gi Joe can now see misplaced loyalty to the worst President in history that is resposible for most of the conflicts on our little planet. He is thousands of miles from home and his family fightihg a globally unpopular war and not even doing it very well ... he is losing ! I believe that morale amongst the coalition forces is very very low Blair and Bush can now be seen for what they are, Lying trecherous shameless meglomaniacs Between them they tried to con rhe world with tall tales of terrorism and now they are caught . This is not the Falklands it's Vietnam 2 with attitude. And not that they needed to but our not so great leaders have now beyond any shadow of doubt proven their joint stupidity by taking on Afghanistan. How insane is that ... Please learn America, with hindsight you now know that if you'd have made a few slightly different moves militarily you could have had Vietnam. But the days of the empires are over so even with all your sattelites and stealth bombers you will never beat a man let alone thosands of them who actualy want to die in defence of their country This is the answer to the question: morally even Bush and Blair know they are doing wrong but its gone too far for it to be dropped and in this day and age people no longer fall onto their swords. Iv'e friends serving in Iraq and all they want is to get home in one piece they know that even if they could win every contact or battle they had already lost when it was found out our leaders had lied to not only them but the whole world . How bad is that. ?? That is really bad....and then they got caught ....incompetent or what ? At least when Maggie and Ronnie did it to us it was done with class and style.

George Bush said at the very beginning of the war that it wasn't going to be easy. He also stated that it would last a very long time. You were all for it then so why are you crying about it now.

The war is over. The peacekeeping mission is having casualties, as all peacekeeping missions do. We are doing exactly what should be done and what has been done after every victorious war.
We are the ones laughing at you for your repeated garbage that you spew from your keyboard.

politics. politicians say that war is easy because thy dont have to go. all they have to do is raise their right hand or yell "aye".
politicians are the reson why its so difficult. they allow the CIA to do dishonorable things to POWs while holding back our warriors from killing the enemy
