Vietnam veterans have been weeded out because of age, if for no other reason. It has been 31 years since the last GI's left Vietnam. The maximum time for military service is 30 years for most people, however a few very senior generals could still be in uniform.
There was a story just last week, of a fellow who was still in uniform at 62 years of age. He had 41 years of military service, but also had a very rare MOS. I don't recall the specifics of his job, but he was probably one of a kind. As you can see, exceptions are made, even for policies etched in cement!

Let's see. If you were 18 in 1974, and in Vietnam, you would be would around 50 now. However, I doubt there are many who have stayed in this long, or, have been "forced" to retire. Only officers probably.

Maybe some of the older officers, but my guess would be very few.
