guys that wear white briefs tend to be more traditional
guys that wear colored briefs (in my experience) are more of the party type
it used to be that boxer guys were more laid back, but since boxers are more popular, an average guy wears boxers

Boxers guys have nothing so it doesn't matter if it swings loose. Guys who are "blessed" need the briefs to keep it reined in.

Personal preference.
Usually younger guys go for boxers, older guys go for briefs.
Although that isn't always the case...
