My husband works near a golf course and comes home with at least 2-3 golf balls a day. I often ask him what he plans on doing with so many golf balls becuase it sometimes seems that they are invading our home. He says he plans to sell some and use some. Would you buy used golf balls? If so, how much would you be willing to pay for them?

People do buy them. It depends on the type of ball and the wear on the ball. I just bought 210 of them.

Used golf balls in good shape can easily be sold. Depending on the type of golf ball and the condition you would get between $3 and $15 a dozen. Consider that you can buy reasonably good new golf balls at walmart for about $5.00 a dozen ($8 for 18 balls), it is only the premium balls that would command a good price. Titleist Pro V 1 & Callaway HX Tour or the Nike One and a few others. Balls can be sold at Garage sales, flea market, in the newpaper, on the Internet, to pro shops & driving ranges and it other ways as well. There is a very hot market for Used golf balls in good condition if the price is right.

Yes, people use them for practice balls. I not sure what they pay. What your husband should do, is, make some sort of art work from them and sell it to a Golf Club or Individual. Heck, he could glue them together to look like a Golf Bag and a few clubs. Man he sell it for $100 and then someone else want one and he sell it. Then he be one a role and be a Millionaire in a year, retire and you guys just travel the world selling Autographed pictures of the "Golf Ball Bag Man"!

Golfers buy used balls all the time. They pay about a dollar for each one. Golf courses issue contracts to individuals who are in the business of retrieving balls from water hazards in order to resell them. It's a pretty good business. Kids look for lost balls on the course and then hang around on the course and sell them to passing golfers.

Considering that new balls cost around $10 for 3, your husband is saving you money by using used balls.

Yes they do buy used golf balls. Some local high school golf teams will buy them for practice range balls. If they were a reasonable price, I've seen them for as little as 50cents and as high as a $1each. It depends on the condition of the ball.

Many "bad" golfers buy used golf balls. You can sell them in a lot on E-bay or advertise at the local level in any paper. Plenty of people buy used golfballs. I dont know if the country club allows you to post a notice because the country clubs can be so "too too" but Ebay will sell your golfballs if you have enough to make it worth your while Check out Ebay and see what they might be going for. Ebay sells everyting.

yes people do buy used golf balls. The pricing varies...

at the course i work at we sell them for 2 for a dollar.

if you so many that you can make dozens of the same brand name you can get 10 or 20 bucks a dozen for them.

the best balls... titliest prov1, callaway hx, nike one, can fetch you about 20 to 30 bucks a dozen.... if they are still clean and very white... not dirty and off white (old water balls)

Used golf balls are as good as regular golf balls if you wash them off with water and a towel.

Yes the do. You can sell them at a store like Play It Again Sports. They have them up in the Northeast, I don't know about the rest of the country. Other than that, maybe he should just stop stealing the driving range balls!
