You should have a look at the templates that Microsoft offer on their Word program. If you slect File, New Document and open the Other Documents tab you can load their Resume Wizzard. This takes you through step-by-step, building the content you want to display and is very easy.

There are a number of styles to chose from, but if none fit the look you are after have a look on the Micorsft Website - they have lots of other sytles that you can download:

Also consider this following 10 tips:
1. Limit your letter to not more than one page.

2. Direct your letter to a specific person: Try your best to research the contact person in charge. If all your attempts fail, top your letter with "to whom it may concern."

3. Address the hiring person by last name preceded by Mr. Or Ms., unless you have been previously introduced.

4. Make sure of the correct spelling of name and title of the recipient.

5. Be brief and to the point, keeping a professional business tone to your letter.

6. Tailor your letter to the recipient: Do not have a ready-made cover letter for all potential employers.

7. Briefly mention why you are interested in this company in specific. Research some information about the company and its activities.

8. Limit your paragraphs to a maximum of four to five lines: Do not repeat what's in your resume but rather refer to it for more details.

9. Have a friend or colleague proofread and/or edit your letter for typos and grammatical errors.

10. Follow up on your letter and call your recipient on the day you specified.

I hope for you successful career.
