Face reality, it's biologically impossible. In the temperatures prevailing out there, he'd be off within 5 hours. By day 2, his stomach would probably have digested itself, releasing digestive juices into the body cavity. So, no, by day 3, he'd be totally rotten.

Anyway, no unbiased witnesses, a primitive superstitious society and an attempt to frighten people (possibly the Romans) by making the suggestion.

On top of that, nothing about it was written down until about 50 years later when all the witnesses were dead and gone.

I'm amazed at the number of people who believe it just because it's written in a book. Do they believe in James Bond as well I wonder? After all, Fleming's books all describe him and his activities. Maybe the intention at the time was to create a best seller of the latest superhero.

Thought, should publishing rights all be given to DC?

The majority of Western culture is based on the fact that Jesus was born and died and rose again - our calendar (ie 2006) and most of our laws are based on Christianity!

Jesus died and was buried on Friday, in the grave Saturday and rose again Sunday - so that's 3 days but nowhere does it say 3 nights!

IF there was no such man as Jesus WHY does He influence a lot of our society in the West?

Well I believe that he died and rose again, but on the 3rd day. So 3 days and 2 nights! :-)

No. Jews of Jesus' time count part of a day as a day. Jesus was crucified on Friday, and rose on Sunday. That is 2 nights.

"Simply believe in Jesus' death and shed blood on the cross to pay for your sins, and you're saved forever. Once saved, always saved. No works are involved, no good deeds, no avoiding adultery, stealing, etc. None of that will get you an inch closer to heaven, because the only payment for sins is the blood of Jesus Christ, by which he bought the church of God" AHH!, you thought I would not read it? That is not true! Jesus Christ said "If you love me, you would keep my commandments" Faith without Works is dead. Do not misrepresent the Bible like that. There will be no sinners in Heaven.

Yes I do.

***JESUS DIED WEDNESDAY APRIL 14, 31AD

A good foundation (1Tim.6:19) has solid ground evidence. The foundation should include 2Tim.3:16; Isaiah 28:9-10; 2Peter 1:19-21; 1Thess.5:20-21 & Ephes.5:9-10,13. To understand deeply--you must use these websites:

If you read Daniel 9:27; it says "he died in the middle of the week"; that would be Wednesday. This is followed by "3 days & 3 nights" = Matthew 12:40 which equals 1-24hr.day x 3days equals 72hrs. in grave. Next the Bible tells us it would be "after 3days and "not before = Matt.27:63-64 and Mark 8:31. It tells us in three days (John 2:19-21) and not after. The Bible also reminds us a day is 12hrs. not including the night(John 11:9-10). Remember also Gen.1:5 and Lev.23:32 tells us "evening to evening" is considered to be a day.

Now I know this is true because the MAJORITY(Matt.7:13) is always wrong. Also there's many clues that it wasn't a Friday crucifixion and a Sunday resurrection; look at 2Tim.2:18. But you will point out Mark 16:9 which says "Now when Jesus was risen[the perfect tense is correct here--he was already risen] early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene." Now the original Greek didn't have no punctuation. If the King James translators put a comma after the word "risen" and not after "week", this would make complete sense. The Centenary Translation renders it this way: "Now after his resurrection, early on the first day of the week he appeared first to Mary Magdalene."

He didn't die, just had too much wine and passed out. If his wife had found out the truth she would have kicked his **** so he did what all men do - he told a big fat lie that sadly people mistook as truth. Poor Mary Magdelene, she should have used her womans intuition and realised he was fibbing. It would have saved us all alot of trouble.

yes i do.

There is a reason why its 3 days, because of the jewish calender, their days are different from our days.

I think (don't quote me) their day is over on sundown...so if Jesus was on the cross friday around noon, then died at 3pm, well that would be day one, then day two would be saturday at sundown, then day three when he rose was sunday. make sense?...
