PRAISE GOD! That's awesome. Yes, God does answer prayer and I will rejoice with and for you and your son. Hallelujah!

It is always a blessing when a member of our family realizes that their spiritual life should come first. There is a scripture however that may help him to continue learning about God.
Matthew 24:13 But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved.
Saul was picked to rule the country and later he got to arrogant and lost favor with God. As did Solomon, so to be a Christian is a continuing battle. Especially for sinful mankind.

Yes I rejoice with you. True; with God ALL things are possible. God is love. The scriptures say that even angels rejoice in heaven at the new birth of a sinner. Heaven rejoices with you.

Does he truly understand the commitments he will now have to make according to his religion?
He isnt SAVED, he will need to continally repent, as he errs, as if he were SAVED, then all future errors would be nothing and he could sin without recourse. However NO ONE is completely saved, as Paul said that he had fought the fight, but even he might not make it to heaven.
If he is in a United Penecostal Church this means that you OBEY the PASTOR as the PASTOR IS AS GOD IN GOD'S STEAD. No matter what your own convictions may be, no matter what GOD tells you in your heart, YOU OBEY THE PASTOR.
Has he prayed and studied for himself seeking out his own salvation with fear and trembling ebfore GOD?
OR has he merely succumbed to the pressure of speaking in other tongues as other memebers of the church muttered in his ears repeating as they spoke?

Oh my goodness! Good for him! I'm sure you are so proud. He's on his way to a much better, fulfilling, happy, peaceful life now for sure!
Lord, bless this child in every way you can and hold him close for his journey of life is in your hands now. Take care of him and guide him so that he will do the best he can to serve you. Amen

God keeps His promises. There's only one thing we can take to Heaven with us and that's our kids. Happy for you. God bless.
