I know that baby powder works quite well for slightly greasy hair, but if I have no time for a shower is there anything else I can use to make my hair look fresher?

Just so you guys know, I took a shower today. This is for future reference, so enough with the snarky comments.

Alcohol based astringent, or just isopropyl alcohol at the roots goes a long way. Also sometimes just a quick blow dry can help. Whatever you do, don't brush it more that just stimulates the oil glands and creates more oil.

Have you got corn starch? Then take some in a plate and work it into your hair taking small amounts on the tips of your fingers. It can be a little messy though. Leave it on for 5 min and brush off. It works.

The best shampoo for greasy hair is VO5 ... I know you are asking for if you don't have time for a shower ... but this is still my answer. I have really REALLY long, blonde hair ... and Being the lazy college kid I am, i use VO5 and if I miss a shower, you can't even tell! My Advice ... Try that shampoo! ... ooo ... and go light on conditionin g the TOP of your head ... hair ... ... don't put it on your scalp as much as on the rest. Conditioner is what makes hair all funky ...

You don't have to shower to take out the baby powder, by the way. Just dust it off.

Anyway, quick fix... still the baby powder.
