I said "almost 3,000 troops have been killed and 21,000 have been wounded" and I am told I made that up. ( Should people check the facts?)

Truth is a funny thing, one persons "truth" might not be someone else's "truth".
We all know how political "truths" go......

Let me explain this to you AGAIN! The reason you get "Slammed" is because you come on here if not everyday, then every other day, and give the death toll, which is annoying in itself because we all watch the news and read the paper too, so we're aware of what's going on in Iraq. But then you also always take news articles and rewrite them to fit your beliefs. You have done that countless times, and more then one person has not only called you on it, but have actually found the articles on the Internet and posted them with their response to you question/comment, proving what a liar you are.
You are forever making up stories about all these crazy Marines that have come back from Iraq, asking us (Over and over again) about using the American flag as a rug, harassing wounded Iraqi Vets and their families, and talking horrible about our dead soldiers. Oh, and you are always talking about how we war/Bush supporters are going to hang our head in shame if we lose the war. I'm not going to ever hang my head in shame. I don't only support our troops when they win a war, I support them no matter what! And no matter what the outcome is in Iraq, I'll always believe going in there was the right thing to do, and I also believe capturing Saddam was a victory in itself.
There you have it! Those of us that go off on you don't do it because you don't agree with the war, we do it because of all the reasons listed above. You're obnoxious and rude, and people are sick of you.

It's not that we don't want to see the numbers or believe it or even that we don't care. It's how you do it. You posted those numbers in a newspaper article. A newspaper article which YOU altered. You added those numbers to the article when they didn't exist. You totally lose all credibility the way you handle yourself and the way you constantly lie or create news that isn't there. I've busted you out several times myself. Sure your numbers are right, but not the way you do it. You can't get people to believe you or accept your cause when you LIE and CREATE stories that aren't there. Everytime you do this, I post the actual article. DiamondDave does the same thing. Use the facts as they should be. Just like this little question of yours.....just trying to get pity and get people to follow and believe in you. We're not all blind and stupid. We know you have bad character.

Try posting facts and truths. Maybe then you won't get slammed. Quit making stuff up and trying to get people to believe in it.

I bet you can't do it!!

Because conservative 'ditto heads' don't want the truth to be heard. They're ashamed (as they should be ) that their idiot President has stubbornly allowed this illegal 'war' to continue taking lives for no reason other than OIL.
Bush's handlers orchestrated this 'war' for two reasons: Bush's family had a personal vendetta against Hussein; and Cheney wants all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands so he and his Exxon-Mobil buddies can get richer and richer and richer.
By spring, 2007, Bush will have also invaded Iran for the same reason: fields full of easily-accessible OIL.
So what if 3,000 people died in the World Trade Centers (which the Bush administration knew about, yet failed to do anything to prevent it, knowing it would be the perfect excuse for the invasion of Iraq).
So what if 3,000 soldiers are dead and 21,000 wounded? OIL is more important so that we can all drive around in our $60,000 gas-guzzling SUVs.
So what if 665,000 Iraqis have lost their lives because America wants their country's OIL?
You get slammed because people are uncomfortable with the truth. They'd rather listen to the pabulum that Rush Limbaugh and Fox "News" spits out everyday, which is nothing more than Nazi-inspired propaganda for the Republican Party.
Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and ALL 535 members of the most corrupt, evil, incompetent, contemptible, greedy, arrogant, cowardly Congress in U.S. history should be tried for crimes against humanity, and - if convicted - must face a public firing squad. These people, along with their wealthy elitist friends, big business leaders, lobbyists, special interest groups, and those in the giant military-industrial complex deserve to die, if for no other reason than to appease the deaths of those they've killed.
PREDICTION: If Bush is so sure we'll withdraw troops by 2009, why is the U.S.A. building the largest embassy in the world on a 104-acre site in downtown Baghdad, overlooking the headquarters of the 'new' Iraqi government? Because the U.S. is going to be in Iraq until we've sucked every drop of OIL out of that country.
PREDICTION: Before the spring of 2007, we will invade Iran because we need their OIL, too. The Bush handlers only have to come up with a plausible excuse that 'ditto heads' will accept.
PREDICTION: If it looks like a Democratic landslide in 2008, Bush's handlers will fabricate another 'terrorist attack' on U.S. soil (this time, in the Midwest), then will order Bush to declare martial law, claiming that a change in administrations would not be in the best interests of national security. That will give the GOP time to groom Jeb Bush for a Presidential race.
PREDICTION: After Iran, Bush will attack Venezuela for two reasons: 1) He has a personal vendetta against Hugo Chavez because of the remarks he made at the U.N.; and 2) the U.S.A. only gets 5% of its OIL inventories from Venezuela now, and it wants more. It doesn't want to share that OIL with the rest of the world, so the only way to acquire it is to TAKE it.
Think I'm crazy as a loon?
Why not print this out and save it for a few years just to see how close I come to being right! -RKO-

Because many american people dont care about soldiers dying. They only care about a flag, a theory. The dont care about human life, just values. This is a clever accomplishment of the government. It is so corrupt and sick, stealing and killing, and it is the governments obligation to make people think this way. American workers working for labour, get killed and are underpaid, but the government makes a statue and call them heroes and the problem is solved...and they are happy!!
Everyone is a hero in the US...they ***** you up the a.ss and the only thing you get is a title...what can I say? If the life of a person who was a teenager or still is, worths the oil and american values...then you people have doomed yourselves.

Your numbers are correct. People just don't want to hear the truth. They have been made to be sheep by the socialist regime on capital hill, accepting everything that they are told by the government as truth and not doing a little research for themselves.

I'm probably lucky I didn't see the question where you posted that, but it I do know it's correct. Sorry you're getting railed for posting factual numbers.

For the rest of it, you're saying the same negative crap that the media is feeding us, and those who truly support our troops aren't very fond of that segment of society at this point, so...

For the record, my husband is on his second deployment and I support him every day of my life.

Ever hear the story about the boy who cried wolf?

You've been posting bulls##t on this forum for so long, that in the rare times when you actually have something reasonable to say, everybody reacts to you like the complete jerk you really are.

The main problem is that you tell the truth that you want to believe, and the edit the news to support that.

Many of them actually know better. They're bit players in the Republican propaganda machine. They're paid to be on here! Others follow the tone set by these amoral mercenaries.

McDannel--there's no such thing as subjective truth when it comes to numbers killed and wounded!

2763 is the actual total. That is getting close to 3, 000. so I don't know why you are getting slammed. Perhaps, people don't like to hear the truth.
