Okay, Performance Art is different to the usual 'performing arts', like singing, dancing, acting. Google performance art and see for yourself - Sophie Calle is a well-known Performance Artist.

I did a degree in Performing Arts - It was kind of a combination of dance, drama, music, and the theories behind them all -
Very in depth and at times philosophical!! - Not at all a "doss" subject as it is often perceived - No Fame Academy for me I'm afraid!

Well it depends if you joins musical theater its all dance acting and singing combined but if you just join dance it will mainly focus on dance and the different types. So it kind of depends on which program within the performing arts you choose to join.

I teach English as a foreign language.
At an amateur dramatics contest my father was suspected of being a professional by the adjudicator. When he said he was a vicar, the adjudicator said - 'But then you are a professional.' - and the same goes for teaching.

I love it, "Tried to do sensible" things with my life, and scrapped that to start a theatre company in Devon with friends (South Devon Players..) I vary between writing, directing and acting... its all superb

i think it is really fun too go and watch a play. you really get into it! the story,the people, the saspence!
