Not to India, I have flown long haul with BA and they are still one of the best airlines I have flown with long haul.

I'm not a big fan of BA - I wouldn't fly them unless there was no other option, after a number of bad experiences with them. And it seems I'm not alone - when I was working as a travel agent there were only two airlines that numerous clients said they didn't want to fly with: BA and Garuda.

ba are very good but Virgin atlantic are loads better..
