I'm a really easy going guy who would like to be everyone's friend, but some people are just insane!!! I was driving to work this morning and in a left turn lane to get on the interstate. When the left turn light turned green, I was the first to go, but as I was making my turn a car coming from the opposite direction attempted to make a right turn down the same entrance ramp and even though he or she could see me coming, they kept pulling out into my path. I yelled at them and kept going. It pissed me off temporarily but I got over it. I try not to flip too out of control when that happens because I know I have done dumb things while driving too. Has anyone else been angered by another driver today?

No. I have taken what may be interpreted by some as a Zen view of driving. I steadfastly refuse to acknowledge the hostile actions of any other motorist, save for taking evasive action where necessary, and then only to protect my passengers, my property and myself. My goal is to travel where I am going with the least possible resistance, and to arrive there without doing damage to my car or its occupants. I have adopted a strategy of absolute concentration and serenity behind the wheel, and absolute unmatched knowledge and obedience to all traffic laws, signs, and road markings. I do not react to hostility from other motorists. They are mere flotsam entering and leaving my field of view, never to be seen again. Admittedly, it was a challenge commit to drive 25 miles of Southern California rush hour traffic twice a day without reverting to anger or frustration, but now I look forward to every trip as a chance to sharpen my skills as a very good and highly defensive driver. No tickets, no wrecks, no anger, no high blood pressure, no rapid-fire pulse rate, no attacks on other motorists regardless of what they have done, nothing. Just absolute emotion-free, machine-like focus on driving. This all may sound a bit odd or new-agey to some of you, but I can assure you, it works. Very well, in fact.
