If she is not rich or near rich, then a laptop or a great personal computer and digital camera. Ebaying will be fun! Had a friend retire at 55, retirement funds running out pretty fast, he's bored, he's on Ebay selling stuff all day. Independence, money & fun!

It's time for her to pamper herself. Gift certificates are great, a weekend getaway to a spa or casino are good also.

If you can afford it, a trip would be nice. Otherwise, a nice dinner out with family to celebrate.
