New York is a big, metropolitan city, probably similar in some regards to London, Paris, Munich, or any place else. the differences may come in the character of American people and the customs found here. Yes, we have many freedoms. However, some foreigners think Americans are shallow. They sometimes find it difficult to find a hard and fast friend. I don't think that's true, but it takes time to make a good friend. Does this help? Write again if you have more specific questions!
