and he calls me 4-5 times a week but still has not asked me out, could it be that hes just being shy?? I tried dropping a few hints like asking him what hes doing on his days off etc. but nothing, im a little confused by all this.

My fiance was the same way when we first met. He thought I only wanted to be friends. I finally just said, "When are you gonna take me out?" He got the hint and we went out.
Just ask him out.

I'd give it a little more time,,maybe he is the shy type
But if you have dropped him hints about wanting to go out and he hasn't asked you yet it seems as tho he doesn't want to be more than just friends...

Well, I don't know his age, so it's hard to say. A couple of things come to mind: he is shy, he already has a girlfriend/wife, so cannot go out with you very easily, he is just bored and wants someone to talk to.
You could just come out and ask him to do something--I did this once; I emailed a guy online for awhile and he didn't ever ask me out, so I finally asked him to meet me for coffee. It worked out great and he was just being shy.
Or, if you don't want to ask him out, you could kind of test his interest by telling him sometime that you have to get off the phone cause your date is there to pick you up.

Well, maybe he just doesn't wanna go toooo fast and scare you! I kinda got the same thing goin' on but he asks me out! However, he sometimes just calls to say hi...so that's kinda making me think on your question that maybe he just wants you to know that he's thinking about you and of course wants you to think about him (since he's calling you)! Maybe he's shy? scared? doesn't know what you like to do? or doesn't know what to ask you to do because he doesn't know what you like? Hey, I know...next time he calls...start up a conversation on how much there's this one thing that you really wanna do and that you've been thinking about it lately...wondering when it might be a good day (or time) to do it. Maybe he'll jump right in!! That would be kewl huh?~ Give him a little time...but don't wait around for him for cryin' out loud! I'm thinkin' since he's calling you...he'll ask you out! Just give it some time...maybe he'll come around and if not...it wasn't meant to be! Good luck...I wish the best for you!

he is probably shy, but the day he will ask you out you are going to enjoy it. thats how shy men are.
