My daughter is 33 and I never considered her hyper. My son is 29 and was hyper as a kid. He was on meds for a bit but didn't like the way it made him feel. We let him go off and he was able to control it a bit so I would say that he probably was not really ADD but it was a more practiced behavior.
He is a very responsible adult now but he has an infectious sense of humor which sometimes gets hyper.
I think most kids get hyper depending on the situation and definitley as someone else has already mentioned depending on what they eat.

My little boy is 4 1/2 and he is sometimes pretty hyper. He has trouble sitting still and he is at the age where he won't hold our hands anymore, but instead, he will run ahead of us. He also likes to sometimes jump around on the furniture (from the couch to the floor, and the table to the floor). I have seen kids that are much more hyper than him...so I guess I should thank my lucky stars that he isn't at the broader end of the spectrum. LOL!

My oldest son is 2 years and 8 months. He is only really hyper when his cousins are around other wise he is pretty quite and plays by himself or with his brother. My youngest son is 9 months and he is trying to walk so he is not hyper but is into everything. Which I don't think I was ready for because my first was really good about staying away and out of things.

27 and no he was not, 19 and he was and they wanted to put him on medication but i didn't do that, i stopped the sugar in his diet and no apples! (packed with natural sugar i forget what they call it), and a 6 years old, he is full of energy more-so than the 19yr old was and i am considering meds for him, but first i will drop all sweets from his diet. Check with Ur pediatrician and do your research on ways to see if medical help is needed for your child.before you put the kid on medication and if he/she is in school make sure you keep in touch with the teacher comments on your child's actions, but be careful because they just might not able to handle your child. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS.
