They are the ones related to you by DNA. That means your children, your sisters and brothers, the children of your sisters and brothers, your parents, their parents, and so on going back in time.

It does not include your spouse, your spouse's brothers and sisters, the children of your spouse's sisters and brothers, your spouse's parents, and anyone else who showed up by marriage (including stepparents) or by adoption.

Blood relatives are the closest relatives of one's father and mother. LIke Uncles, Aunts, sisters and brothers children.

Blood relatives are relatives that you share DNA with. Aunts, uncles, sisters, grandparents. For instance, brother in law is not a blood relative. If you were adopted into a family then they would not be your blood relatives as you would not share DNA.
