What plant should I use for my science project? It needs to be strong fast growing and not cress.

Beans are great because they are big and strong and you can easily see what's happening to them e.g. growth of roots and shoots (especially if you grow one in damp tissue in a glass jar). However, it rather depends on what your science project is about...

Why not use a simple bean. It's cheap, it grows fast and is pretty strong and resilient.

we use tomato or chilly peper...when you go to buy make sure it isn't infected....all healthy leaves....
