Beauty means different things to different people. It is a matter of personal taste.

For present day modern youth prettiness may be gorgeous beauty and sizzling sexy disposition.It takes some experience to realize how these radical values are basically responsible for breaking up of family as a unit. The old saying "handsome is what handsome does" is all but forgotten. The cultural back ground,education,the up- bringing, the values imbibed are no where to reckoned.Why do they not realize that beauty and sex are temporary virtues and wither away with age very fast. What t remains is companionship which holds the couple together for a long time.I doubt if any one today cares for such orthodox ideas especially in the Western world while these are regarded as cardinal principles in many countries in the East.

I'm not a guy but have recently been discussing this very topic with my other half and friends, so:
Pretty, we agreed, conveys a sense of young, sweet, pure, clean, innocent, visually pleasing but not sexually attracting. So as a woman I can see a girl is pretty.
Beautiful, is harder but we sort of agreed its a more mature person that is visually pleasing at a very high level. With beauty goes attractiveness to others, either males who 'fancy' the woman or women that would like to be friends/know the person/be associated with etc. There are some common attributes to accepted beauty such as tall, slim, shapely, long legged, good facial bone structure, good complexion, symetry of face, good teeth etc but we all see it slightly differently as to colouration, hair length etc.
Hotness is easier to define, we thought. Its the extent to which a guy wants to have sex with a woman purely on how she looks, moves and sounds (not personality). Sexy clothing, confident posture, looking available, a good body and an OK face are key but importantly to be hot does not require beauty or pretty. A beautify woman may not be hot and a hot woman need not be very beautiful.

prettiness, beauty, and hotness are really deceiving at first glance.
me, i have to try hard to avoid looking at someone in a different way because of the clothes and makeup she wears, as well as her body-type, attractiveness, voice, and so on.
these are parts of who we are too, but there is much more to a person that can only be learned about by getting to know them better. and these are the things that are more important, i feel.
interests, personality, manners, intelligence, and things like that.
girls/guys become more beautiful than they first appear when you learn how nice they are, or that they have some interests in common with you, or have similar ideals or whatever.
conversely, those who seem most beautiful at first often become really less attractive when you get to know them.....

If you want to look pretty think conservative type clothing,If you want to be hot think about showing some skin, low cut jeans or hot mini skirt with low cut top is hot looking.

those words are 3 totally different things. pretty is the girl next door look. also known as cute.
hotness is the girls posing for sports ilistrated.
now beauty is something to strive for. if i call a woman beautiful,then she doesnt look amazing,she is amazing.i will love a girl before i will call her beautiful.

Probably long hair, tight skinny body, big boobs and a nice butt. This is probably for most men, but I do believe there are men out there that think a great attitude is hot

guys think of beauty, hotness, and brains all the time dear. they have to realize that is their lost if they dont take you seriously.
