you can make many little notes and hide them around the house where you know he is sure to find them once your gone, and then hide a small gift with clues in each note...this will take sometime for him to find it and with ever note he finds he will smile and think of you!

A small gift would remind him of you that he would cherish? Tough one The letter is the thing as my wife once upon a time had to leave me for a bit before we got married. She wrote me a letter but went old school....... its kind of a card with thinner paper to write on in a cream envelope. Then she tied a ribbon around it and sealed it with a wax seal. Think Victorian times when love letters were a big deal. Or Josephine writing a letter to Napolean. Also she put it a picture. It was great as it is something that you don't get everyday and was better than just a gift. Especially in these email days. We have bought each other stuff over time but I will always cherish the letter.

Get the largest box you can find and wrap it up with gift paper. Then get him a simple necklace, price doesnt matter. Give him the emty wrapped gift and promp him to open it, and when he says "It is empty", you reply and say "Thats because what I want to give you is in my heart", wait for his reaction and then give him the small necklace and say "but let this remind u of me". Trust me, no one will think of that. Goodluck.

Buy him something he will have with him so that he will remember you. Like a watch, overcoat or even a nice wallet.
Good luck and hope he likes it
