Choose a topic that has a lot of resources available. Like taking a side in the assassination of John F Kennedy. I did my senior project on the pro-conspiracy side and found it to be easy due to all the material on the Internet. Just download the "Zapruder Film" and create a multi-media presentation. It will take little effort and you'll be guaranteed an A+... Good luck

How about researching the question of why so many Americans are going overseas to adopt children when there are so many children here in the USA who need loving homes? What are the reasons, legalities, costs, etc.?
