Really it depends, has he said "I love you" yet? if not, maybe it's his way of saying that. He could be afraid that he may scare you off. Or it just means that he doesn't want to be without you.

Depends on what kind of guy he is. If he's a negative, glass half empty type, it could well mean "I'm unable to function without you". If he's a positive guy it more than likely means "You're so special I can't imagine my life right now without you".
Or it could mean "I'd really like a ******** so I'm going to roll out some gooey line to persuade you that I love you then push your head south" if he's a bit manipulative.

That he is very much in love with you and that he needs to be with you all the time, he needs you in his life, that he can't live without you. It is GOOD if you're boyfriend says that to you!!!!

It probably means that you're the most important thing in his life. This may be flattering for some, but it's creepy for me. These guys need lives that include more than their girls.

If he is your boy friend and you both are moving together for quite some time and so far you never had any date then it means he wants it. If already you had dated him and he says he needs you that means he wants to marry you and you marry him if everthing else is ok.

Actually he says ''I'm missing you'' or ''I want you'' but any which way, all bores down to sex. If he says he loves you especially when it didn't lead to sex, then he really loves you in both words and actions.
