It might have been me when I was having a bad drug trip maaaan. It's OK now because I got my welfare check and can afford the better quality stuff.I might have to spend a few nights sleeping under your car until the bad dope wears off so don't move your car until I have a chance to get out from underneath it in the mornings.

I don't know your situation. Perhaps your child has had some sort of disagreement with local children? Or at school - speak to them and ask if anything like this has happened.
If the incident is unwitnessed and you have no idea who did it, then the police will not have any idea either - they cannot perform miracles. Having said that, find out if you have a local Neighbourhood Police Officer and arrange to have a chat with him/her about your concerns.
The incident at this stage is relatively minor and I wouldn't worry too much about it. It could have been a mistake (thrown at the wrong door), or just mischevious. However, some of these stupid, thick people that do this just want to get a reaction - it makes them feel worthwhile. And if they don't, then they will probably go and pester someone else.
I hope this doesn't happen again - if it does, report it again to the police for your own peace of mind.

Sometimes these things happen, seemingly at random. Some idiot may have thrown the egg really, really hard from across the road, for instance from somebody's back garden, sometimes even accidentally lobbing it over their house.
Kids do jackass stunts like this all the time. Twenty five years ago, while out in the countryside on holiday, I tried firing an egg from a catapult. It missed the target completely and flew an amazing distance, out of sight. I never found out where it landed, but I only hoped that it hadn't landed on anyone or done damage.
So don't let it worry you, unless it happens again.
And if it does, don't take it up with the police. Talk to the local council, because they're the ones who have to look into this and hand out the ASBOs.

The world's largest hand-loomed carpet, the quickest roller coaster, the greatest high tea, the tower with the greatest slim, the largest chaos of cultural structures of the 21st century this really is what you would enter your holyday at Abu Dhabi so begin making planes with hotelbye because this city is waiting for you really to give you an memorable holyday. Abu Dhabi is really a city that is not afraid to concern earth records, is an exciting city wherever nothing stands still. Among the places must see in Abu Dhabi may be the lovely Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The mosque fuses Mameluke, Ottoman and Fatamid style elements to produce a harmonious and completely modern mosque that remembers Islamic architecture. Artisans utilised glass-work, mosaic tiling and elaborate carvings to magnificent impact on equally the inside and exterior. It had been opened in 2007 after almost twenty years of construction and has the capacity to hold 40,000 worshippers. Is the greatest mosque in the United Arab Emirates.

Probably a prank in the warm up to Halloween - but surely why do you think it is such a big deal - if it had been a petrol bomb I would have been upset but an egg is harmless "fun". If it gets worse - report it to the Police again but it is likely to be just a random act.
Why are you scared? Do you live in a particularly violent area? Do you feel that you are living in the wrong place? Is your child being bullied at school? I think that you need to explain more for us to really help you, because it sounds like you are making a mountain out of a molehill without any further details.

Wow! think yourself lucky that that's all you've got to worry about! It sounds like you live in a nice neighbourhood. It was probably kids mucking around. Dont take it personally. It happens again the police might create a presence there, Just means once aday a squad car will drive past, not alot they can do... what with being tied up with solving murders and rapes and things!
But you are lucky,There are some places where it could be a fire bomb or a brick!

No offence but if you live on a council estate & this is the first time you have had any cause for concern, don't lose any sleep about it.
Its a childish prank be gratful you are not having dog mess or fireworks through your letterbox or your car scratched etc.
Quite often its the fly off the handle reaction to this sort of thing that lines you up for a lot worse.

I think you might be taking this too seriously, at the end of the day its approaching halloween and kids will throw eggs, while not a very nice thing to happen it will happen to thousands of homes over the coming weeks. Im sure it had nothing to do with you personally and calling the police is a bit over the top.

Sorry to hear about this - I was brought up properly and would never have dreamt of throwing an egg at someones door as a child - still that is what's wrong with Britain today - no respect.
Having said that it sounds like a random attack - hopefully will not happen again.
Damn this stupid American "tradition" of trick or treat - should be banned in this country - but no hope of that of course.

'So scared' of having an egg thrown at your door? I'm sorry, but toughen up a bit! God's sake, it'll be kids having a prank... it's coming up to Hallowe'en and Mischief Night after all....And I'm not sure whether or not your house has gutters is of any relevance...... My suggestions
1) By all means set up massively expensive satellite surveillance equipment and cctv - spend a couple of grand to find out that actually...er...yes, it must have been kids having a prank.
2) Stop wasting police time unless it becomes clear there is any sort of threatening/ malicious intent behind it.
