It depends onthe dye and the type of hair you have. If the dye is harsh or you have weak hair you could do some major damage. When I was in high school I dyed my hair...I think it was a 28 wash but it might have been permenant. It turned out what I call 'Fire Engine Red', it was horrible! Anyway, I was willing to face the consequences if something went wrong, I went back up to the store with some friends and re-dyed it. My friend pulled my hat off in the store and the store lights made it GLOW I'm not kidding, it was like radiating from my head....it was so bad...but kind of a funny story now. Anyway, if its really bad just do it again later today. If its really bad but you're worried about things do it in a few days. And if its bad but not THAT bad (something you can handle, just dont prefer) then I'd wait a week or two. Good luck! Oh, and why dont you click on "add details" under your question and tell us what it looks like, I'm dying to know!

If you don't like it, try wasching it with Head and Shoulders a couple times a day, it will take some of the colour out, but you need to dry it in between.
If that doesn't work go to a hairdresser, don't try to do it at home because you can't be sure what the next colour will look like. You can also get scabs on your head because of the chemicals
You can also call the 800 number on the box of the colour and tell them what happened and they might be able to suggest something.
Good Luck! I feel for you. Happened to me too.

Make sure that your hair can take another dye job. Pull one of your hair strands between two fingers. Does it snap off? Or does it have a little bounce to it? Bounce is good. Snaps-BAD.
If it bounces you have a fighting chance of it looking ok. If it snaps off, your hair is very weak and you probably won't like the outcome if you re color it at this stage. Conditioning treatments highly recommened at this point.
Calling the #800 is a great idea.

Coluor it again as soon as you want. your hair maybe dry for a little while after so be sure to use a lot of conditioning products. Or if you choose to wait ofter 48hours you are truly safe to re-colour just so your hair can gain back some of it's integrity. So you don't have breakage. it is safer to go darker than it is to go lighter.

I did it twice in one night... I had the same thing happen a year or so ago. I wouldn't do it more than that, but hey... Im not sure how bad it was for my hair, but I still have tons of hair, and I loved how it turned out the 2nd time :) good luck kiddo!

mOST HAIR DYES SAY 7 TO 10 DAYS. There should also be an '800' number on any hairdye box, call the brand you used & they can help you.
I've done it as soon as 4 days, but that was my personal choice and I do not advocate following my example. Do as the box says! Best of Luck.
Vote my answer BEST if it helped you the most! Thanks!

Depends on how much u care about the condition of your hair, but I've seen it done a few hours later. (depending on the type of dye u used)
