I mean that pp which is usually at the beginning of pdf articles about the published pages.whats the relation between those page numbers in that article with the pages of the real book for example.

If it's done correctly, the numbers in the pdf files correspond precisely with the numbers in the printed book.

However, it takes knowing how to use the PDF Creator well to accomplish this, and many of the books/articles I have seen, the pages do NOT correspond.
