Yes i believe people are born gay but they may not realize it at first. But i think that you can turn bisexual during your lifetime.

I agree with the faction that states; Homosexuality is born out of psycho-social experiences, not pre-determined at birth! I was actually curious about this, and studied it for a few years, because a friend of mine had a brother "suddenly" turn gay... but was he born like that? NO! I have never met a person who's gay (male or female) that did not have some sort of traumatic event happen to them, while they where younger.
We are social creatures, and if some cannot find acceptance with the norm, they get it in other ways. Be it they where abused by a pedophile, had a parental figure die (or absence of one) when they where younger, or some other life-changing event(s), or series of events... we are NOT born any way... we choose! As much as the gays wanna make the world believe it, they chose that lifestyle... this is generally speaking, of course; there are also the bisexuals; (which just shows that they don't care where it comes from, as long as they get it), who are just sef-absorbed... a psychological disorder... Sorry to be harsh, but it's the truth!

I think that homosexuality is an expression of biology. In other words, yes, I think people are "born" gay.
For one thing, every human being alive has been female at some point or another - in the womb. At a certain point the male chromosomes assert themselves and the fetus develops as a male. Most of the time this happens in perfect synchronization, body, endocrine system, brain - the works. Sometimes it does not.
One of the more profound ways this can go wrong is in something called pseudo hermaphroditism wherein a genetically male person is "immune" to testosterone and looks, acts, and feels hyper-feminine, more womanly than actual women. No one can tell but a doctor and they don't even guess until something goes wrong in puberty and menses fail to start or a "woman" seeks fertility counseling.
Just like anything else there are degrees of this lack of synchronization. Some infants might be born with "micro-penis," others with testicles that don't descend until puberty but of all the systems masculinized in the womb the brain is the most delicate - and completely invisible from outside the body. If your pre-birth experience gives you unconventional sex organs people will readily admit that it's a product of genetics or a product of gestation. However, people are very closed minded about things that can't actually see.
If your child has Asperger's Syndrome (a form of high functioning Autism) and behaves oddly you'll have no end of grief from people who can't physically see what's wrong with your child. If you suffer a back injury and become disabled by it you'll suffer prejudice from many people who can't believe anything they can't see. Homosexuality is invisible except for the behaviors it causes.
No one wants to believe that we are controlled by our biology but we are. Women have even been proven to dress differently during ovulation (when they are fertile) and to flirt more to attract the attention of mates. If a tiny fluctuation of hormone once a month can change your mode of dress and basic behaviors couldn't a more dramatic hormonal issue in a fetus' critical development cause lifelong behavioral differences?
Women are also exposed to hormonal fluctuations and even androgens in the womb so I'd bet the same applies to lesbians as to gay men.
If you were to wake up one morning in a body of the opposite sex do you think your gender preference would change? Your brain solidifies into male or female type structure before you are even born.

Actually, some people are born gays. Normally, what we most see in a typical gays are men who behave very much like a women (ie. walking, talking and thinking...like a woman) and love guys.
But, in nature, there are people who are born gays....not psychologically, but physically. Such people are born with two gentinals, a penis and a vagina. They are the real gays. If suh things happen, he would give the parents an option whether the baby will be a girl or a boy. They even do some surgery to remove either one of the gentinals, depending on the choice of sex.

I don't think peope are born gay. I think its the circumstances that surround them as they are growing up - and I'm not talking about trauma of some kind, nor am I ruling that out.
I'm also not saying that you suddenly wake up and decide that you are gay. Realisation comes over time.
However, I also believe (and a lot of people are going to shout at me for this) that to some degree there is a matter of choice involved, even if it is subconscious. I have a friend who is very gay, but he says that he would have sex with a woman as a matter of curiosity. In the same vein, I have another female friend who we all thought was straight. However, she had a bad breakup with a boyf and got together with a female. It did not last very long and she claims that it wan't happen again either.
This is just my opinion.

Some gay males are most assuredly born that way.....without question. Others choose the lifestyle. The deciding factor is the degree of inherent femininity one is born with.
Some males are born profoundly feminine. These are the born gays. Some males are born more towards the androgynous sector of the spectrum. These are the individuals that can swing either or both ways. However, the majority of males are born fully embracing gender appropriate programming.
The same thing, in mirror image, occurs in women.
What is particularly sad is that this is even an issue. An individuals defining attribute should be the content of their character. One's sexual orientation should hold no more weight than, say, the color of their hair.

There is more evidence that people are born gay than the other way around. People who want to believe its a sickness or something brought on by trauma aren't ready to accept that a significant percentage of the population is peculiarly different. Keep in mind that the homosexual lifestyle sets them apart from society in a way that is in itself traumatising. It's hard enough growing up straight - anything that sets you apart, whether it's being too short, the "wrong" colour, having a birthmark, crooked teeth - will guarantee painful teasing. Imagine also being "gay", which seems to give everyone the right to kncok you around. I'm a middle-aged straight person, a mom with kids, but I don't shy away from things. I hate to see people suffer for what they are. Gays certainly wouldn't CHOOSE to be the target of abuse, would they.

I do not think they are born gay at all I have met many and read of many who have in many ways left that way of life. If all of a sudden most were born that way we would have a terrible time populating and parenting the kids of the future. I am also speaking from some experience of leaving a small part of that life myself, I have never turned back and am happily married to a female of course, do some study on the net.

That's a hard question, but I can say that I don't believe most gay people have a chose in who attracts them. Just like straight people don't have a chose to be attracted to the opposite sex. There maybe the select few who are gay for the adventure or are trying things out. But I think for the most part they are born with it. Just like I was born with being straight. Isn't the world wonderful, filled with all different kinds of people.

NO, they're not born gay. People are born with the sucking instinct and the genetic material that they will need to survive. If you know anything about evolutionary genetics, it is that only genes which assist in survival are passed on. If there were a gay gene, it would never pass on beyond the first generation, due to its determining that the individual would not procreate.
I think people are made gay by our polluted environment / culture and thus have misquided sexual energies. We are all absolutely oversexed by the popular culture.
