How can someone just give you a blank cheque anyway? Do you know them well? Obviously it was meant to pay for something in particular. Think twice before filling in your own amount and putting it into your bank... the truth will catch up with you, and so will the law.
How do you get the money back that they owe you? Thats a tough one to answer.

Sure!, but only if you want to be arrested for check fraud, criminal impersonation, and a bevy of other charges.
Just ask them for the money if the pay you win if they don't write it off and make note not to lend money to people in the future.

actually you COULD use it, but if it's found out you used it for something other then the person it was given to you could be charged with theft and fraud which equals prison time
