a savior complex is a person who wants to help u the world or all kinds of causes if this person is a friend they will try to help u and give u all kinds of advice a therapist does not have a savior complex they take an oath to help people in need a good therapist will direct you, and inform u of your options but it is ultimately up to you to make your decisions in your life i dont believe they are out to stick it to you they are usually caring people and if they wanted to stick it to you they would not have bothered to help you hope this helps
