Any aircraft can travel to Europe in an hour, from Turkey, the CIS, or Morroco.
The fastest aircraft to cross the Atlantic was the SR-71 and it did it in just under 2 hrs.
The Da Vinci Code is pure fiction.

The scramjet is under devolopment and has been tested in-flight. It is as close to the fictional aircraft in Dan Brown's novel as it gets. Supersonic passenger planes will soon become practical, because new research is on the verge of designing a wing that can supress the shock wave that causes the sonic-boom. The Concorde was only allowed to fly faster than the speed of sound when over uninhabited areas such as the oceans, because of the sonic-boom.
