I don't need him. I am drawn towards the much more satisfying alternative of the earlier pagan religion of classic Greece. You do know, don't you, that Jesus is simply an extension of the hugely popular earlier God Apollo? The Christians simply came up wioth the notion of eternal life and needed a new framework, so took what already existed (shame that). Even the images of Jesus are actually almost identical to those of the Great Apollo.

I am a hindu but brought up in a christan school,I strongly believe in christ ..Do you know why? Assuming jesus never existed its a story
but i believe in such a story where there is so much of love and sacrifice. The point is when you are actually believe in a person like Jesus you are ACTUALLY ADAPTING HIS PRINCIPLE OF LIFE .You try to idolize him he is your hero ..like wise how say u treat Tom Cruise etc..So u try to put the hair style like him etc.Even if Jesus was a hero you would have done the same.

Here FREE means Free from sins..So adapting Your hero jesus ---->choosing to be good---->thereby ur free from sins.
Here its just a simulation of the word but in reality considering all religion teaches same princliple of being good So if you follow GOOD religion practice and watch your Dont's and Do's ...U have the tendency to be good and becoming good will make you God fearing Person and when you fear God u do less sins and when you do less sins ur actually a Free person spritually.

I wasn't a slave in the first place. The real question is when is he going to set you free? Free to have an original thought,or to make a decision without consulting the worlds oldest slave manual first.

Yep. Free from guilt. (He's paid for our sins, and he can help me not to repeat the same mistakes.) Free from worry and fear. (He is over all. Everything is going to turn out right in the end.) Free from having to win all the time. Free to love. Free from hate, anger and bitterness. Free from doubt about Him. Free to choose up or down, and not be struck in a rut. Free to think without checking with society first.

Subscribing to a narrow made-up belief system is not being "set free", it is intellectual slavery and practitioners are little more than deluded superstitionists. Get a life!

No ! Just the opposite !!!

My education took place at a Catholic college.
And there were very good teachers, that for
I am very thankful. But there was no freedom at all.
You know what I am talking about: Sexuality.
Why is the Catholic church that evil, if they talk about
the sexuality of young people. Sex is like kissing the Devil.
But Satan or Lucifer isn't that sexy. He has nothing to do with
that. Life is Sex and fun. But the church still bans sexuality ----
something I never understand. And what has Jesus to do
with that !?? He was A MAN too ---

Yes He has set me and everyone else who trusts Him completely Free. I am extremely free, free, free.
And it is very very good. If someone hasn't trusted Him before they just can't imagine how good it really it.

Jesus has not set me free but his teaching makes me a `freer' person and wiser. That set my mind free from hatred, jealous, anger...etc.

Has Patriachy and Dogma enslaved you.

Your mind appears to be one tracked.

Have you danced naked around a cauldren on a mid summer Sabbat?
Now THATS freedom!

Free from what, exactly? Why does he want to free us from whatever it is that he confined us in in the first place?
