It's religion. It doesn't have to make sense. That was put there because it made for a better story.

Your question is very confusing. The word "raise" has many meanings as you have listed here and each one is different depending n the context of what is being said. Moses raised the serpent up, not resurrected it. It was made out of brass, he didn't give it life he just put it up on a pole so they all could see it.
When Jesus raised some one from death, He gave them life, When Joseph rose up from sleep, he stood up. I really can't see your point. I don't think that it means we are obsessed with raising. Sorry I can't be of much help.

The serpent Moses raised up was a type of the Crucified Christ.
Those who looked upon the serpent received healing.

Johan, Jesus said: I and the Father are One thing. God.
We are at the outset of a story that will reveal to us the most profound mysteries of life. This story is simply about God, the glory of his character, the nature of his life and his desire to share that life with his creatures. It is about God come amongst us and the mixed response he received to his offer of divine life.
His life, manifest in the incarnation, is our light (Jn 1:4). In this Gospel light always refers to the revelation and salvation that Jesus is and offers (cf. 8:12; 11:9 is the one exception). In order to have life we need to know God, and Jesus is our source of such knowledge. As our light, his life is our guide. He is our wisdom, that which reveals all else to us and enables us to see. In Jewish thought it is the law that plays this role (for example, Wisdom of Solomon 18:4; cf. Hengel 1974:1:171; 2:112; Kittel 1967:134-36), but for John it is the incarnation of the Word that makes sense of all of life.

OK, I'll correct you. It wasn't Mosus, it was Moses. It wasn't a serphant, it was a serpent. It wasn't neighbour, it was neighbor.
Moses didn't reveal having only one God. God said," I am the Lord Thy God. Thou salt have no other Gods before me." So God revealed it.
And the word God should always be capitalized.
