It's 5:30 a.m., and I just woke up shaking from a dream that I had. I somehow ended up in some military program, and it was scary as hell because I kept being in these really weird mini battles where there people would have the stranges weapons. Some had syringes with these weird liquids in them. There was this teacher or something that I thought seemed really nice, but then for some reason she cut my stomach smaller and then tied it up. I was allowed to use the phone by these preppy girls that had to make sure I didn't call any one to help me. One girl did help me out, and I got it to where I could call my dad. I did, and I told him I need to go to a hospital, I don't have much of a stomach right now. Then, he told me that he couldn't come get me and hung up. I just had this huge feeling of having no one to turn to. I woke up, and I was shaking, and I can't seem to shake the feeling. I've had this happen before with different dreams, and I always wake up at 5:30....what the hell?

Dreams are actually what is playing in your mind before you sleep. If you had dreams about that military programme, you either probably playd a lot of war games, read an article about it or discussed it with someone and it affected you a lot. Probably you are scared to go there or something.Well, if you haven't done anything military related, then maybe you are overstressed. Stress causes your mind to play tricks on you. Try to relax, take a hot cup of milk or something bfore you sleep, and try to take things easy. That should help. Good luck!

have you spoken to your doctor about the possabilty that you may have night terrors Night Terrors ?
People who have night terrors are often misdiagnosed. The most common one is a simple nightmare. Any of you who have had a night terror can say they aren't even close! Another common misdiagnosis (especially among veterans) is PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. For this reason I have included a description of the difference between nightmares and night terrors.

Night Terrors Symptoms: Sudden awakening from sleep, persistent fear or terror that occurs at night, screaming, sweating, confusion, rapid heart rate, inability to explain what happened, usually no recall of "bad dreams" or nightmares, may have a vague sense of frightening images. Many people see spiders, snakes, animals or people in the room, are unable to fully awake, difficult to comfort, with no memory of the event on awakening the next day.

Night Terror or Nightmare?: Nightmares occur during the dream phase of sleep known as REM sleep. Most people enter the REM stage of sleep sometime after 90 minutes of sleep. The circumstances of the nightmare will frighten the sleeper, who usually will wake up with a vivid memory of a long movie-like dream. Night terrors, on the other hand, occur during a phase of deep non-REM sleep usually within an hour after the subject goes to bed. This is also known as stage 4. (A link to a sleep stages chart can be found on the navigation bar to the left) During a night terror, which may last anywhere from five to twenty minutes, the person is still asleep, although the sleepers eyes may be open. When the subject does wake up, they usually have no recollection of the episode other than a sense of fear. This, however, is not always the case. Quite a few people interviewed can remember portions of the night terror, and some remember the whole thing.

It kind of sounds like night terrors. As far as the timing, maybe you go through your sleep patterns at a similar time every night. There is a certain stage the dreams always happen in. You could look up stages or night terrors or maybe see a doctor about it.

Dear dreamer,
Stop watching wacky movies, turn your TV off at night listen to nice soft music, it will help you drift off to sleep in a nice way. all the bad news, horror movies, etc could leave any one with such nightmare.
