Absolutely ! That is exactly what it was called in 1980's.
Mutually Assured Destruction.....MAD for short.
If ALL countries had Nuclear Weapons, we would have
World Peace
sooner than we really want it....we would ALL be dead!

No it would not. USA and UK and other countries have nukes. But there was still 9/11 and 7/7 and other atrocities throughout the world so how can it be a safer place. MAD is only a deterrent to other countries to launch their missiles. I believe it will happen in the near future and God help us all.

Si vis pacem para belum (if you want peace, prepare for war) is a delusional proposition. It happened during the cold war period. Yes, it was the time wherein Europe enjoyed the longest absence of military confrontation since the written history (45 years). However, peace is not the absence of war. The threat of war is war in itself. I wouldn't consider my self safe if a sword is over my head.

War would just go underground, terrorism would become a tool of State Power..Economic Warfare, Electrical Warfare etc, it wouldn;t end if we all had Nukes.
