Give him something valuable but not expensive.... like if you have a childhood photo of him and you together.. why don't you frame it nicely and sign on it and give it to him? or if he has any hobbies, then try and give him something that is related to that hobby. it will show that you care about his likes and dislikes...

It's a shame that you and your dad have had to go thru all that. But having said that, I'm glad your back on friendlier terms now. And as to buying your dad something, to show your love for him. I would suggest a plaque or a pewter mug with words similar to these on it "To dad, who shares my joys and cheers when I'm sad there no one like my dearest dad!" He can hang it on his wall and see it every day. Have a really nice day pal.

Write him a long letter that doesnt bring up the past mistakes but tells him how special he is to you and how much you love and appriciate your time with him. and put it in a hand made card. He will hold on to it for years.

That's great.ü you should give him a creative letter telling him how much he means to you and how you cherish every moment with him. Together with the letter, paste your picture with your father. Also, it would be nice of you bake him a cake. He'll appreciate that.

You should also bear in mind that Christmas is just around the corner. Go to http://www.allsolutionsnetwork.com/SW/SW55278 and at the gifts site see if you can't find something that will have him smiling with gratitude.
