I used to get that all the time. You might try switching your solution - try different ones and compare. I personally used Renue, and that made things better. If you need temporary relief, try one of the eye wetting drops available at any drug store. In general, try not to wear your lenses all day, or at least take them out for an hour in the middle of the day - the air lets your eyes breathe, and that helps tons too.

Are you using hard or soft lenses?
Are they daily, monthly, yearly...?
Probably they don't fit properly. Your optician could help you out on that.
If they're daily or monthly lenses and you wore them more often than they're supposed to be worn this would definitely be a reason.
Especially if they're hard lenses your eyes could lack oxygen.
Your eyes could get dry, special eye drops can help you out with that problem.
You might have gotten yourself an infection.
In any case, give your eyes a break. Check with your optician to be sure your eyes are ok and your lenses fit properly.
You could try to switch brands or even kind of lenses.
I've gone from hard to soft lenses because my eyes couldn't tolerate the hard lenses anymore all of a sudden.

Lack of oxygen and irritants getting in. Blink more or use a contact safe no more tears drops. If you are wearing disposables you may need to change...30 days is just a guideline, I go by comfort. I like Bausch and Lomb (sic)

you should defenitly change the contact rite now it has bacteria which is very sensitive in your eyes and if which you should have back up glasses i suggest wearing them , if after a few hours its still red but its not irritating you , you probably have a cold in that eye
