Valerian is a natural aid to help relaxation, or try Rescue Remedy. Lavender oil on your pillow could help, but make sure it is essential oil, rather than perfume oil. Avon also do a range of products than could help, I cannot remember what they are called, but on of them was a pillow mist spray.

I used to be a VERY bad insomniac for about 2 years of my life after a terrible incident/phase of my life. I tried everything on the chemist shelves! Sleeping pills would help me get to sleep but wouldnt stop me waking up half an hour later. My problem was my brain not wanting to stop. Not allowing itself to relax. It was a pretty stressful/horrible time of my life. If you want to try something natural you could try valerium. It did not do the world of good for me but i was a lost cause!! And yeah I would agree with the person above - smoking grass helped me sometimes!! I am not big on maryjuana but if it was around i gave it a crack because it often helped me sleep. I wish i had a simple answer for you and I really feel for you cos insomnia SUCKS. When i met my boyfriend and he started sleeping over i just started sleeping. Very corny ending, but we have been together 5 years now and i am still sleeping like a rock ever since. Maybe its the sex? Try that?

You should avoid sleeping pills. Make sure you're tired enough to go to sleep. Try exercising 4-3 hours before going to bed, make sure you haven't had a large meal before you go to bed (stop eating 2 hours before going to bed). Also remove distractions from your room, don't watch tv or listen to fast paced music. And the best recommendation, don't look at your clock! The more you think of it the longer you stay awake. You can also use an old remedy, one teaspoon of apple vinegar should do the trick!
Sweet dreams!

Believe it or not, you may be suffering from having Parasites. Not being able to sleep properly is one thing that parasites do to the body. Here are two options. The first is to try a product called Swedish Bitters. You can buy it from www.swedishbitters.com or from Whole Foods Store in the USA and several other natural foods stores. This product helps to kill off any parasites that you might have, internally. Second, you need to get the book called, "The Cure For All Diseases," by Dr. Hulda R. Clark, Ph.D.,N.D. See the link below. Dr. Clark is my source for the idea, from above, that you may have parasites. (Every living thing has their own parasites.) She discovered that there are only two causes of diseases, Toxins and Parasites. However, her work has not been fully embraced by the mainstream medical community and the drug companies because they feel that by curing diseases, and not just treating them, that they may lose monies from the sale of their chemical based (which are toxic to the body) medications. Good Luck in your search to cure your problem.

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.
