hey whatever meat I get I'm happy x

I'm not sure how "turgid" can be applied to a piece of meat, but if I was unhappy with what I had been served I would (politely) explain what was wrong with it and ask if it could be changed. If the new meal was equally as bad I would tell the manager that I was prepared to pay for what I had eaten or drunk, but not for the main course. I would then leave and not return to that restaurant. Whenever I have had occasion to complain about a meal in a restaurant, I have always resolved the situation without anyone losing their temper, and without making any "demands"!

Given that "turgid" means plump and juicy, I don't think I'd be angry at all!

I'd be very angry. As I'm vegetarian. And would have ordered something vegetarian.

I was once in a restaraunt and had ordered my vege dish, my g/f at the time had ordered her vege dish, and then along came the vegetables, and in the cabbage was bacon! I asked the head waiter about this, and he said "Yes, we put bacon in our cabbage" so I replied "But what about vegetarians?" and he said "Oh, you should have said" to which I replied "I'd have thought that us both ordering vegetarian meals would have been enough of a frickin clue..." - they have since stopped putting bacon in their cabbage.

I would be furious and demand the chef go to a slaughter house to see the pain inflicted.

I would call the health inspector and not patronize that restaurant again.
