Stories are just that *Stories*... I'm a loving military spouse... My husband is gone alot and other than that it's just like any other relationship... It's very hard to be without the one you love... I have 2 children and one on the way in February, My husband will be overseas when I'm due... I don't know anyone where I'm living so That will make it hard for me and my kids.... I don't know what kind of Wonderful stories you heard but you may have been misinformed...It does have it's moments, but For every good moment there seems to be three or four really bad moments *deployment*... Being a military spouse is the Hardest Job in the military... They even have bumper stickers that say that... Love is the only thing that will keep your Military relationship going...Romance is a part of any relationship but Not all men in the military are like that... And if you're in it just for the money, Good luck... The military isn't paid well... Trust me... We live from paycheck to paycheck just like many Americans.... So good luck with what ever you do....

As a U.S. military vet and a divorcee, I can tell you that "men in uniform" can be over-rated and we dont make the best lovers because we're gone most of the time. If you're not ready to trully love someone in his presence as well as his absence, find you a civilian who never leaves. You want a man in uniform that will stay home, find you a cop or a fireman. Military men can love like crazy and can write some beautiful love letters while we're away and homecoming is one of the best feelings one can experience in life, but just like many military wives will tell you and I trully agree, it is the toughest job in the military.

The best lovers are surely the ones who are around the most...get out in the area, find a man, and rent him a uniform from the local Fancy Dress shop.......

Sounds like someone is after some TAGS! Or is it the tricare you want. People who say stupid things like that have no respect for the ones that wear the uniform, they just want the benefits that come with it. Grow up and have some respect. PROUD WIFE OF A MARINE.

The military man isn't the easy way to go. Its a hard lonely way of life, but when they get home it is wonderful. I think it will only work if you are truely in love.
