An Avatar is an incarnation of God. Whenever God come down to earth in any form then Hindus call that an Avatar. According to that definition, Christ can be considered as an Avatar, even though there is no mention about Jesus Christ in any of the Hindu scriptures

It's really tough to definitively say. Hinduism is more a _category_ of religious belief than one specific belief. Having said that, Hinduism is polytheistic - there are many gods, though different people will worship different gods. For example, you might worship Ram primarily where I might worship Krishna primarily - yet you accept Krishna as a god and I accept Ram as a god. We may well have different practices as well. But we're both Hindu.

That being as it is, it's easy for Hinduism to 'accept' Jesus in one way or another. Hindus tend to be open-minded about other religious practices and it's not uncommon to find Hindus who respect Jesus as a great teacher. I have heard of Hindus who say that they can accept Jesus as a deity or at least a kind of semi-deity, but they tend to be few and far between.

Hinduism, by the way, is a good 3000 years older than Jesus.

Hinduism is a way of life not a statement of a religious belief.
An ideology that propogates self practising manifestation of devotion in any form unto the Divine creator of the Brahmand or The Universe

I like your Christ, for he is like any other a propogator of the same belief of manifestation of devotion -an Avatar , an incarnate preacher of this devotional way of life , leading us to The Redemption -"Moksha".

That is what an average Hindu would say for it is he who is Hinduism
