An ultrasound is not the test for colon cancer. A colonoscopy is the test for colon cancer.
If you are 50 or over this test should have been done.
I am a colon cancer survivor for 6 years now. I had the same symptoms you have and was very anemic. The Drs told me I probably had colon cancer for over a year. It is the silent cancer.
Go to a Gastroenterologist..

There are many reasons why your bowel movements could have changed, please don't get yourself into a panic and think the worst. Colon cancer is more common in people over the age of 50. There are different tests for detecting colon cancer I was not aware that an ultra sound was one of them. Faecal occult blood tests will examine the faeces under a microscope and try to detect inner blood. Barium enema is a procedure where a liquid is passed through the colon and then an x-ray is taken. A colonoscopy is an examination using an instrument in the colon. If a polyp is located or anything abnormal is detected it can be removed and properly analysed. On a positive note there are treatments for all patients diagnosed with colon cancer - surgery is the most common way of removing the cancer during an operation and is the most common treatment for all stages of the cancer. Chemo - using drugs and Radiation using powerful x-rays are also available. My dad had colon cancer 12 years ago at the age of 55. He was very much a heavy smoker and drinker 2 major factors for colon cancer. My dad has a colostomy bag but is very much alive and kicking though no longer smoking or drinking. My advice to you is stay calm go back to your doctor and state you are not happy with the results/tests that you have had. Hopefully you will recieve the tests you need to put your mind at rest. I do hope that this is a false alarm and that nothing sinister is going on. Go to your doctor and get the help you need.

I suggest to go have a second opnion, see a specialist. An ultrasound scan is not enough to determine cancer. There's also colonoscopy which can see the insides of colon and some other test.Just to be sure and ease your mind.Mind you cancer is a really devious disease, your ok at present but the next you'll never know.

There are more than one reason why you can get any of the better known symptoms of colon cancer. If the scan showed nothing suspicious, you are still entitled to ask why you are showing the symptoms described and what you can do about it. If you still have doubts, then ask for a second opinion. But please don't rely on an internet forum for medical help - your GP is by far the best person to deal with it.

My mum was operated for colon cancer and after 7 years developed the symptoms you describe. Had several ckecks including colonscopy and a full scan. No cancer. The reason was gastrytis and hemorroids. Maybe it's the same in your case.

Ultrasounds are not good enough diagnostic tools. Go back to your GP and ask to be referred to a gastroenterologist. They made end up doing a colonoscopy (small camera up your bottom) or and ensdoscopy but they are the best diagnostic methods for bowel problems.
Good luck

there are many things that this can be attributed to like haemerohoids(piles) but if ur gp considered ca colon they wud send u for various tests obviously if the ultrasound has showed nothing u shud relax but if u r still worried ask ur doc to refer u for further testing

You could have a liver condtion as well, go for a second opinion and also try and see a homeopath for an alternative solution.
