i was operated on 6 feb 2006 . my left leg is ok but right leg is still troubling me . it gets stiff after walking . how can i recover fully .

Normally, in six months you would recover fully: some age factor, and some general health factor also would have a say in the recovery time. I think, if your left leg is ok, and right leg is not, then you should go to the doc and have a good session with him.

Even though therapy is usually done after three months, healing still takes place up to a whole year. You should be relatively pain-free, but may still be with mild to moderate pain on occasion at the 6 month mark. Stiffness after walking is still normal at this point. If you had to have more bone revised on the right leg, this may explain why you have more pain on that side. If you are still experiecing severe pain or experience knee buckling, get back to see the surgeon to rule out prosthetic loosening.

Yet, if it's just stiffness, keep up your range of motion exercises and consider enrolling in a water based aerobics class. Keep your chin up! You've got six months to go!

i'm having the two knees replaced in december and my checklist has advised me i'm going to be back to paintings, driving etc interior 2 months. i'm hoping so as i'm not 50 till next 365 days and curiously very youthful for this sort of surgical operation
