Anyone eager to learn ever attended this sessional program?. Ive been to a few (as an open minded atheist trying to fathom out the mind of someone less secure !) and as yet have not found anything whatsoever remotely related to the existence of a 'soul' .
Al it seems to be is a bible session, which doesnt do much other than spout a few old stories out.
And to the twatty people who would be tempted to suggest I'm sitting on the fence just because I wanted to go to this programme I'd just like to say that its the openminded-ness of an atheist who has the ability to look wider than just his/her non beliefs that enable him/her to be happy to learn about even the loopy aspectsx of human life. I doubt if many believers would want to attend a 'unconvert yourself' programme purely to learn !!!!!

I don't see you as sitting on the fence. I see you as having planted yourself firmly on one side.
Learning doesn't get you any nearer to God. Doesn't get you any farther away, either. God cannot be found in the mind. But I guess you're not really looking. If you ever do care to begin searching, here's a hint: Look outside of yourself, and look on high, above any human power.

First, I am a Christian. I have taken many religion classes and been to many "'unconvert yourself' programme(s)" for the purpose to learn.
Second, I haven't met any open-minded Athiests... Every athiest I have ever talked to says "There is no God, anyone who says there is a God is wrong". Just the fact that you called people at the seminar "less secure" shows how closed-minded you truly are.
If you go to a Christian session about anything, it is going to be a "bible session". Christianity is based on the Bible. A true Christian believes the the Bible is the living Word of God. It would be pointless to argue Christianity to a person who believes the Bible is just another book.
Here are some reasons that show the Bible is not just "old stories"...
1. Every single prophecy in the Bible has come true. (There are a few that are set in the future, so we have to wait for those to happen.
2. The historical accuracy of the Bible is very comprehensive and accurate. No archeological find has ever proven the Bible false.
3. The Bible holds scientific truths that did not "exist" at the time the Bible was written. Examples: Roundness of the earth, Almost infinite extent of the sidereal universe, Law of conservation of mass and energy, and Law of increasing entropy (just to list a few).
4. The Bible is a collection of 66 books written by 40+ authors over a period of 2000 years and it does not have a single inconsistency.
5. "One final evidence that the Bible is true is found in the testimony of those who have believed it. Multitudes of people, past and present, have found from personal experience that its promises are true, its counsel is sound, its commands and restrictions are wise, and its wonderful message of salvation meets every need for both time and eternity."

A cadaver is the body, a living body is a body and soul. The body is the tool box of a soul.
How else we can make contacts between us if we didn't had the tools!
Notice the body alone (dead).
Life is the opportunity for a soul to express itself, exactly like you are doing, denying your soul.
It is not right to believe in non existences of souls, as we are intellectual beings (special) yet we are the only creatures who disobey. Look upon all other natures, what they do, day after day, they never complain of anything, they just obey.
Obey who! Then nature is to obey God, and we are to obey both.
As our body is of our nature and our soul is of our God. Thanks.

i'm an atheist too. but you are doing us a disservice by making generalization such as "an atheist has the ability to look wider". For the rest of you reading this, not all atheists are this stupid
