I have an IUD and I wouldn't choose anything over it. Nothing to worry about for the next 5 years, you cant beat that in my opinion. The pill is the last thing I want to be on, wait one step above the Depo shot.

Firstly I find it strange that many of the people on here assume that just because someone wants to use birth control that they are a single irresponsible promiscuous person. In fact using birth control and protecting yourself is the responsible thing to do.

As a married woman (so for the religious/morally superior people I am allowed to have sex though I do not personally see marriage as requirement) who wants to control when and how many children I have... I have always had good luck with just the regular old pill which also makes regulating and managing menstruation a snap.

I have been having sex with my husband for 11 years now and we have one child together (A son, 5 years old) and i was on the depo shot about 8 years ago for 3 years until i stopped taking it to get pregnant. That was the best birth control ever i thought. I haven't been back on birth control at all since i was 21 and now i am 27.

I did get pregnant last year but miscarried. But we use condoms or the pullout method and it works cause you gotta see i only have one kid.

Having worked most of my professional like in a GUM clinic, that has been incredibly effective method of birth control - it puts you off having sex completely!

After getting pregnant 2 times while on the pill, once on the shot and no luck with condoms, I have to vote for my tubal ligation procedure that I had done 5 years ago!
