Are we teaching our kids or our young brothers and sisters about Islam?

Do they even know how to read Sourt (AL FATEHA)? I think we are obligated as Muslim to teach and help them understand the real meaning of Islam not according to (AL Qaeda), but According to the Holly Quran. specially for those who live in western countries?

I must admit I respect this post. I am an atheist, and I am glad you seperated Islam from militant Islam. Although, the sad state of this message board is that as soon as you start talking about Islam, you have Christian fundamentalists that will start blasting you and giving you thumbs down. If you teach your children to be good people in the framework of any organized religion, then you can be proud

I also think that is sad that people who follow Islam have to take the time to seperate what they believe from what extremists preach. Christians, by definition, should be more understanding of the fact that not all Islam is extremist.

I learned that Islam developed an entire concept to kill animals for food called Halal. They go around like beast Halal Camel and eat them. They are nothing but savages, killing animals and eating them. Why did the chicken cross the road. Because a savage was going to eat him and a cow, lamb, turkey etc. Right now a Muslim is probably cooking the blood of an animal right now to eat it. It's an obligation of parents to teach their children about the education their children need according to Islamic principles and doctrines but not according to Extremist idealologists. It must be according to the Al-Qur'an of the Prohet Muhammed, not according to the Qur'an of Osama Bin Laden. So that a fundamentalist movement may reformed to modern days Islam, will SALAM or PEACE REIGNS where all peace loving people on this earth will live in harmony, not hatre as what the Denmarks youth DPP is SHOWING TO WORLD and teaching their youth to hate a great reiligion and potraying it into evil and this may create future wars among the nations of the worlds because of indeferrences in religions. I'am afraid many countries will follow Denmark, then in the future a world war III will soon begin.

The Dane's government's tolerating its' Youth in making blasphemy to Islam, they put their nation to isolation or helping their citizens endanger to travel outside of their country. Government should stop the social cancer their youth is developing like aparthied, racial persecutions and descrimantions among the nations of the world. I hope your children will be future leaders likes of Bill Clinton, Kofi Annan, Gandhi and Mandela and not be likes to Denmark's youth DPP.

I agree ..but how do you get through to those who's leaders
think there are on a crusaders mission ..and every Muslim they hold or they kill..is a.. Alqaeda..operative they say ..the Resistance in Iraq and in Afghanistan ..suppose to be all .terrorists ..now we got Iran who is suppose to house Al qaeda operatives ..how many are they....all depends how mane is killed or detained ..it could be any number..
I am glad that Likes of Saddam and Taliban in Afghanistan is ousted .good riddance..but not every one who defends there country is a terrorist ...
If the shoe was on the other foot wouldn't every nation
act the same to protect there country....
So let us get this in prospective ..not every one is a terrorist when defending there own country for right or wrong reasons....
A hand full.of terrorist who bomb Innocent people.. we should pick them out and hand them to the law ..

I'm glad that you tried to seperate Al Qaeda and true Islam. Ignorance is definitely destroying the view of Islam for people all over the world. I live in a Middle Eastern country and am at peace here. I feel safer here than i have ever felt in the U.S.

Ignorant people who think Islam is a cult and murderous group of people WAKE UP! They are not trying to kill everyone.

Extremists exsist in all walks of life. We have Christian extremists too, who burn gays houses, who burn abortion clinics. Put yourself outside of the box. Just because one Christian, one time, burned an abortion clinic doesn't make all Christians crazy whackos who will destroy things to prove a point.

Same goes with Islam. Try not to be so close minded and open your eyes.
