I've just looked at Youtube and there's a video of a lady talking about her husband who just passed away.

You'd think people would say something like "sorry for your loss", but instead the majority of people have posted the most rude, insensitive comments they can think of.

This kind of rudeness and insensitivity is all over the net. Do people not care about anything if it doesn't affect them anymore?

People have lost respect, compassion and a sense of loving thy neighbor as thy self. But there are still a lot of good people in the world. Remember there are a lot of kids answering these questions that don't know the meaning of life let a lone respect. And the first person answering your question is one that has no respect for them self let a lone you or anybody else. But one day they will need someone and remember the day they answered this question. Have a wonderful day.

A majority of people like to dis others coz they feel really bad about themselves.By ranting about something that's wrong w/ someone else they temporarily forget the things they think or know is wrong w/ themselves. That's why I don't pay much attention 2 people always whinning and complaining that "that girls 2 fat,or 2 thin,or 2 short,2 tall,2 this or 2 that".It's always something w/ those people who r so "Sick w/ themselves"that their always pointing out others so-called imperfections. If u have a problem w/ being fat than stay thin.if u have a problem w/ being thin than consume more calories. If u don't like what someone is just don't be like them. It's suppose 2 be a free country.People should be able 2 be themselves even if u don't like it.If people concentrated more time on fixing their own problems rather than judging others for theirs they could get so much more done to improve their own lives and wouldn't feel such a need to ***** about things concerning someone else that's none of their business and nothing 2 them.PEACE!

Unfortunately, I think respect is becoming a lost art.

It is sad that society is coming to this. All I can do is make sure I and my kids that I raise don't contribute to this sorta rudeness or insenitiviy like that of what you speak.

I think this world would b alot better place and more positive if people wernt rude to one another or mean and nasty.

There would be alot less hate crimes, ignorance, fights, racial tension, religious tensions, shootings in school, if we all had more respect for one another, be it in real life or on the net

Unfortunately, respect has become a dirty word. Living in central London I have seen at first hand the sheer lack of respect many people have for one another. I've always been of the mindset of giving respect earns respect. But part of the problem lies with people not challenging disrespectful behaviour. I understand that in London you could face the possibility of violence and one asks one self whether it's worth the aggravation. But surely, that demonstrates such a sad reflection of our time.

I think people reveal another part of themselves when they are in front of their computer, because everything is anonymous and so they can become cruels and say awful things, nobody will know who they are...
