i dont remember, but i know its very similar to the watts-to-miles conversion. not quite as big as the square foot-to-degrees celsius conversion, but bigger than the length-to-ounces conversion.

I have an idea what you mean, but since cubic foot is a unit of volume and kilogram of weight, you can't convert one to the other. They are like apples and oranges. I suggest you measure the size of your washing machine, and also your dryer. Then take these measurements to your appliance shop in Australia and ask them what would be the equivalent in kg. Or take the manuals, if you have those as well, to the shop, so you don't have to bother about getting measurements. Lastly, once you are at the shop, I think you will have a good idea what is the probable equivalent of your washing machine and dryer just by comparing them with the ones sold in the shop in Australia.

Ummm, these are not compatible conversions - you are trying to convert volume to weight. Regardless of the system used, this is not valid.

I would guess you would need to convert from Cubic Ft. to Cubic decimeters? Maybe? Here's an excellent online tool:

This should do the trick for you!
