Christians believe that Jesus was the Christ or Messiah. They do not consider that there have been prophets since Jesus lived, only saints.

They do recognize that Muslims consider Mohammad is the Prophet of Islam.

Many Christians, until 9-11-2001, thought that they had a connection with Muslims through the One God. That idea has gone out the window, since Christians follow the Ten Commandments.

The commandment, "Thou shalt not kill" is taken to mean never kill an innocent. Suicide bombing and other forms of terrorism ignore that commandment. If Mohammad condones the killing of innocents, it would be impossible for Christians to see him as a Prophet from God.

No, and according to Galatians 1:8, Mohammad would be a false prophet for preaching another gospel that he claimed he received from an angel. And since the Biblical canon was standardized more than 200 years before Mohammad was born, there's no way he can claim "new" revelation that contradicts the old.

No. Because as a prophet of God He must acknowlege that Jesus is Absolute Diety, and the Prophet Mohammed did not.

Great many Christian philosophers, thinkers, writers, historians, orientalists are on record to have expressed reverence and respect for the Holy Prophet. VaticanII shows respect for Islam. Christian political leaders have done likewise. Unitarians etc. have owned faith not dissimilar to that of Muslims. Christian scholars, like in Leiden Universuty Holland, have rendered great service to Islamic learnings. The Hartford Seminary, Connecticut's The Muslim World Quarterly, now in its 96th year of publication has all its articles admired by Muslims. The recent issue was devoted to Pakistan. In most Universities of the West, there is a Deptt. of Islamic Studies. A Muslim Lady who earned her Doctorate at Oxford in Islamic Studies under the supervision of a Jewish Professor, later became The Chair in Islamic Studies in a major University in a large Muslim country. She would always mention her Professor with great respect. The 3 Judges of Islamic Jurisprudence in the highest Court of a Muslim country are all Ph.Ds from European Universities. I can not reveal, in a public forum like ours, the affinity that was often reported between Christian and Muslim mystics... both drawing their spiritual strength from mylord Jesus and the Holy Prophet Muhammad, alike.

Certain versions of the Christian Bible speak about a prophet coming after Jesus. Islam has translated this to mean that Mohammad was that prophet, however most Christians do not see it that way.

Why DON'T WE? We surely consider Muhammed, REALLY as a Prophet that teaches Lie.
The prophet that teaches lie is called as the tail of the Satan, the ancient and honorable.

Do not see Vatican as the center of Christian faith.

Christian belief is very fragile. If a Christian believes that Muhammad was a prophet, he becomes non-Christian!

No.
Mohammad was born many years after Christ.

Jesus never referred to Mohammad as another prophet that is after him.

All the prophets in the Bible teach and prophesied on the same truth from God - Mohammad doesn't. He is not even educated.

Prophets warn people to repent from their wrong doings - not kill them if they don't. Eventually the free choice to repent is on the people's desire - not by force.

Prophets want people to live holy lives - not rob or rape women and children.
